Friends of the Library

A non-profit organization of volunteers that help and promote the library.

The Friends of the Sanborn Public Library is a non-profit organization whose goals include advocating, fundraising, and educating for the public library.  Membership is open to all members of the community.  Meetings are held about every 3-4 months depending on the needs of the library and its activities.  Members assist in many different ways to promote the library to the community and beyond.A non-profit organization of volunteers who advocate, fund raise, and educate the public for the Sanborn Public Library.

Annual Projects:

Sponsorship of the Easter Coloring contest
Book giveaway for National Library Week
Magazine subscription giveaway for National Friends of the Library Week
Sponsorship of summer reading supplies and entertainer
Annual membership drive
Fundraising events as needed

Volunteering:

Delivery of library materials to our home-bound patrons twice a month as needed.
Supply food and help for our annual fundraiser and other special events throughout the year.




Purchases:

New computers
New tables & chairs
Funds to help digitize our local newspaper
One set of book club books each year
Sponsorship of a Creative Spirits event for youth and adults
Coffee pot and story hour supplies

If you are interested in joining the Friends of the Library or wish to make a donation information is available at the library. A donation made to the Friends is tax-exempt.
